Let's say you have three carpets you bought early in your carpetbinge and you decide you don't like them enough anymore to pay for the certificates to get them out. You:
- Sell one, a Dagestan Sumac, to your friend Breed over beers for much, much less than you paid for it, then go buy a different Sumac from Ruslan that you like better -- quickly, quickly --before Breed sees it and wants to buy it for himself;
- Give Ruslan the other two to sell (of course, at a loss to you and a double profit to him since he sold them to you at an inflated price in the first place).
- A few weeks later, Ruslan sends you an SMS, describing a "really special" 110 year old Karabagh that you have never seen before. Because you are in Ukraine, you buy it sight unseen. You tell him to apply the money from the two he sold for you to the purchase price, which -- duh -- makes this AN INCREDIBLE BARGAIN
- Because the Producer knows the best way to get out of the doghouse is to buy some quality carpet, he buys two carpets from Ruslan -- an Afghan and a highly unusual Karabagh that only probably ten people in the world will like. He decided to exercise his independence as a carpetconsumer and bought one that looks very very similar to this.
The question: how much money has Ruslan made?
But that's not important. The important thing is getting this carpets to Kyiv so I can post photos of them.
